Original vintage travel poster for the Isle of Wight Go There By British Railways - Southern Region. Great pictorial map artwork by the notable commercial artist and poster designer Reginald Montague Lander (1913-1980) featuring colourful illustrations of holiday tourist activities including sailing at sea, playing on the sandy beach along the English Channel coast, painting, theatre, fishing, photography, a ferry trip, whale watching, golf, swimming, picnics, volleyball, tennis, train rides with points of interests, including historical locations, mythical figures and creatures and travel routes across The Solent and on the island, the stylised lettering in a red banner with tridents on the sides above. Printed by Waterlow and Sons Ltd London and Dunstable. Large size. Horizontal. Good condition, restored tears, restored folds, backed on linen.
