About the Item
Providence, Rhode Island, native Herbert Fink is known for his prints, drawings and paintings of the figure.
This particular image is in a labor-intensive stipple engraving technique.
He studied at the Carnegie Institute, the Rhode Island School of Design, and Yale University. Really I would like to think this is one or Rhode Island's beautiful beaches, but I don't know that for a fact.
It was published by Associated American Artists in an edition of 250 while I was there. The reference is Windisch & Cole 2376. It is signed, titled, numbered, and dated it pencil.
