Smooth skin, bright blue skies, and electric red—Tony Kelly's visual language is unmistakable. 'Backcountry' depicts a Model in a black leotard ski touring up a snowy mountain. But instead of ski boots, she is wearing red Louboutin Heels. The white snow and bright blue sky create a glowing image, emphasizing her smooth, sun-kissed skin. TONY KELLY Born in Dublin, Ireland, 1975, Tony cut his teeth as a photojournalist, capturing the burgeoning celebrity culture that sprung up in a city embracing a newfound wealth. His voracious appetite for blue skies and sun-drenched panoramas drew him to Barcelona, where he embraced the "street voyeur" within. His quirky spin on daily life and the cultural idiosyncrasies that surrounded him quickly became his distinctive signature style.
