About the Item
TRES AMIGOS by the woman artist Robin Morris, is an original limited edition lithograph printed using hand lithography techniques(not a photo reproduction or digital print) on archival Arches paper, 100% acid free. TRES AMIGOS is an amusing musical portrait portraying three men dressed in a snazzy lavender and green suits with matching hats, yellow shirts, and black bow ties playing their guitars and saxophone with a chili pepper red background heating up the ambience for this trio's performance. Ms. Morris utilizes her characteristic Art Deco stylized drawing in creating this eye-catching, Latin music portrait.
Bolero is a genre of song which originated in eastern Cuba in the late 19th century as part of the trova tradition. Unrelated to the older Spanish dance of the same name, bolero is characterized by sophisticated lyrics dealing with love. It has been called the "quintessential Latin American romantic song of the twentieth century". Characterized by its slow tempo and Latin sound, bolero music is very popular in Spain and Cuba and often accompanies popular dance styles like the cha-cha-cha, rumba, and mambo.
