Original ‘AU DELA DU MISSOURI’ or Across the Wide Missouri, vintage Belgium movie poster.
Museum linen backed. Smaller Belgium format. An affordable method to own an original Clark Gable poster. This is a genuine Belgium ORIGINAL MOVIE POSTER issued by the studio when the film was released and meant for theatrical display. Metro Goldwyn-Mayer, Technicolor. Printed in Belgium.
Clark Gable’s face occupies the majority of this vintage movie poster. He is smiling and wears a mustache and a green cowboy hat. There is an Indian fight scene and Indians on horseback as part of the background. An Indian squaw with her hands on her hips stands on the side, looking at him.
In the 1830's beaver trapper Flint Mitchell and other men hunted and trapped in Montana and Idaho's then-unnamed territories. Flint marries a Blackfoot woman as a way to gain entrance into her people's rich lands but finds she means more to him than a ticket to suitable beaver habitat.
The original theater-issued fold marks were restored. Minor edge wear; after all the poster is over 70 years old! Great color. Printed in Belgium
