This is a coastal Limited Edition print titled "Beach Along Dune Road" by Daniel Pollera. The print depicts a sandy walk with wooden fencing and grass on either side, leading to a beach with two Adirondack chairs and a beach umbrella overlooking a body of water and hills on the horizon. Light clouds float in a blue sky, and clusters of sailboats can be seen on the water.
This Limited Edition giclee print by Daniel Pollera is an edition size of 10. Printed on canvas, this giclee ships framed in a warm silver floater frame wired and ready to hang. Other floater frame options are available in gold, black, white, and walnut. For additional sizes and alternate frame options, please contact us. This print comes with a Certificate of Authenticity and ships for free.
The artist granted permission to Sorelle Gallery to produce his Limited Edition prints which are printed with pigment ink on a Premium Fine Art Matte Canvas 410g/m2, designed to meet museum longevity requirements and ensure consistency. Please allow additional time for printing prior to shipping.
Daniel Pollera was born in 1953 in the coastal town of Freeport, New York. His interest in art began at a very young age, gravitating toward drawing and painting the surrounding coastline of Long Island. After a short study at SUNY Farmingdale in Commercial Art, he left to enter the family business.
For almost 15 years, Daniel took a sabbatical from painting, but this didn’t affect his love for the sea. He obtained a Captain’s License in 1977 from the United States Coast Guard and took passengers for hire on the open ocean. Through this experience and visual knowledge he was drawn to begin painting again. Although Daniel was primarily self-taught, he worked with Frances Norris Streit, a portrait and mural artist, assisting her on a 14’ x 30’ historical mural for the Roslyn Savings Bank. He also studied with Everett Molinari, a well-respected President of the National Mural Society. Museum collections include Long Island Museum, Parrish Art Museum, and Guild Hall Museum.

the landscape in the home. When seeking beauty in the world to distract us, delight us, and
bring us into our own world, we seek something that stirs within us a memory or a dream.
Traditionally, tapestries are a storytelling media as well as décor. This particular work is
constructed from commercially printed tapestries acquired from a Chinese supplier during the
pandemic. These tell a story of arrested, yet ample, desire.
On one side of the piece we see a sunrise from a beach with palm trees. Gently folded over to the right is a second tapestry. In this the artist has chose to expose the desaturated backside which obscures slightly the third tapestry landscape of beach scene around midday. It brings to mind the passage of time much like time lapse photography...

Photography and acting are kindred spirits in the ongoing series by E2 - Kleinveld & Julien, entitled In Empathy We Trust. The project presents viewers with re-imagined iconic images from the history of art. The collaborators re-envision the work of old master painters beginning with the Flemish Primitives and spanning nearly 600 years.
With subjects enacting roles with varied representations of race, age, and sexual orientation, E2’s revisionist Art History works by artists such as van Eyck, Botticelli, Raphael, Velázquez, Rembrandt, Vermeer, Fragonard, Manet and Whistler. Inspired by the original paintings, E2 hopes to “jar viewers” into questioning their own perceptions. They invite viewers to see these images, and indeed the world anew, using humor, wit and playfulness. In addition, they hope that the viewers will see how stereotypes can lead to prejudice and discrimination.
The collaboration began in 2010, after completing work on the traveling exhibition and book project, Before (During) After: Louisiana Photographers Respond to Hurricane Katrina. This natural and man-made disaster brought social inequities in Louisiana into vivid focus. Conversations between Kleinveld and Julien revealed their mutual interest in issues of social justice.
E2 has been exhibited internationally in institutions such as: Royal Academy of Art (London), Photoville (New York), Gemeentemuseum (The Hague), Palazzo Fortuny (Venice), Museum Castelvecchio (Verona), Galerie SIRIUS (Tokyo), New Orleans Museum of Art and Ogden Museum of Southern Art (New Orleans). The duo is represented by JONATHAN FERRARA GALLERY, New Orleans and their work appears in numerous public and private collections, including: Benetton Collection (Treviso, Italy), Museum of Fine Arts (Houston), Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art (Trento, Italy), Hilliard University Art Museum (Lafayette, LA) and The Marks Collection (Houston).
