Hand-signed and titled in pencil by the artist, Lingwood captures a tranquil NYC rooftop scene from an era when only one skyscraper—the World Trade Center—stood alone in the skyline. A classic water tank anchors the terrace, embodying old New York. This scene contrasts sharply with today’s cityscape, where skyscrapers dominate, stacking higher and higher. Lingwood’s work evokes nostalgia for a quieter, more intimate urban landscape.
