About the Item
This artwork is a unique-piece sculpture curved directly from green-veined white Carrara marble stone by French artist Cécile de Cock.
Born in an artistic family, with a father who won the Prix de Rome and was a student of George Braque, Cécile de Kock cultivated her passion for the arts very early. She quickly appropriated a universe of strength and purity through slender and fluid lines, mixing the hardness and coldness of marble with the finesse and warmth of woman. It is by bridging these two worlds that she offers us a perfect unity between elegance and raw strength.
Cécile de Cock is a member of the Taylor Foundation, winner of numerous sculpture prizes, in particular gold.
