About the Item

Nana Williams’ "Porcelain Pattern Sphynx 1" is a captivating resin sculpture that merges delicate craftsmanship with intricate surface decoration. This 2024 original work is a resin cast, hand-painted with acrylic gouache, standing at 5.50 x 2 x 3.50 inches (13.97 x 5.08 x 8.89 cm). Inspired by the elegance of fine porcelain, the piece mimics the timeless beauty of blue-and-white ceramic motifs, applied in striking floral and ornamental designs that wrap around the feline form. This meticulously detailed sculpture evokes the grace of the Sphynx cat, known for its sleek, hairless physique and poised demeanor. The swirling blue patterns, reminiscent of Delftware or Chinese porcelain, contrast beautifully against the smooth, white resin surface, accented with delicate gold flecks. The expressive, hand-painted eyes add an enchanting sense of life to the piece. A blend of contemporary and classical aesthetics, "Porcelain Pattern Sphynx 1" makes a striking statement in any collection, particularly for enthusiasts of ceramic-inspired artwork, feline forms, or refined decorative objects. The sculpture is in excellent condition and available for immediate acquisition. About the artist: Nana Williams was born in Vienna, Austria. She is a full time self-taught artist, who graduated with a diploma in Photography at "die Graphische" in Vienna before moving to the United States.
