a very fine Model Sculpture of a standing horse , finely rendered in patinated plaster, signed ‘MMM’ and dated 30 , w. rich burnished patina.
Its quality and elegance are reminiscent of the best 19th cent. French 'animalier' works by such artists as Barye, Carpeaux or Degas.
Provenance : the Tatti family Collection - the Tatti family has been involved in Art Conservation since the 15th cent. in Venice to the present day in NYC.
