Albert Heinrich Brendel Furniture

Albert Heinrich Brendel studied at the Berlin Academy of Art under Wilhelm Krause, then going to Paris in 1851 to study under Palizzi and Thomas Couture. Attracted to the spirit of the Barbizon, he formed friendships with the masters of this school of painting upon returning from a year of study in Italy to settle in Paris. Brendel exhibited his works in Berlin, Munich, Vienna, Paris and Nantes. Two of his works are held in Berlin's Nationalgalerie, Schafe im Stall and Treibende Viehherde; other works are held at the Victoria and Albert Museum and Berlin's Kaliningrad.
