Jun Takahashi Clothing

A key part of a designer's legacy comes from the way they inspire further work. Vivienne Westwood and Malcolm McLaren’s Seditionaries has an especially rich lineage, with designers like Jun Takahashi and Hiroshi Fujiwara often borrowing direct influence. Founded in 1994, AFFA existed sporadically throughout the ‘90s and 2000s as an outlet for the two to reinterpret Seditionaries into something more suitable for everyday wear. Both are massive fans, boasting extensive personal collections and a published book showcasing their pieces. These bombers were among AFFA’s initial releases and were all hand-done. Produced in extremely limited runs, they were printed on Alpha Industries blanks, and borrowed graphics from Seditionaries, with no two jackets alike. The back right sleeve features an interesting construction flare, with heavy cotton paneling and some of the safety orange lining affixed. Such jackets are rarely seen outside of Japan, where the label is highly coveted by enthusiasts of both designers. Condition: 8/10.
