Desk petrol lighter designed by Harold Sitterle (1921-1993) for Ronson. Fabulous avant garde petrol table lighter, created in the 1954 by the American artist Harold Sitterle for the Ronson Company. This rare ultra modernist piece was manufactured in very limited edition by the Rosenthal Porcelaine Company, based in Germany. The lower part is crafted in glossy white porcelain and the upper section in matte black porcelaine. It is crowned with a lighter made up in chromed steel and golden steel. Art deco mechanical dispenser box with lighter made by Ronson. An exceptional and very decorative mechanical desk box, created in the city of Newark, New Jersey United States by The Ronson Metal Works Co. during the art deco period, back in the 1936. This is a very rare box designed by Frederick Kaupmann with geometric machine age patterns. It was crafted with parts made up in solid bronze and chrome steel. Embellished with square knob to lid on gunmetal base with black lacquer enamel, creating a great contrast to the brilliant steel and the interiors are finished with round brushed Fiorentine patterns. It is extremely well made with a solid construction and with very nice care and attention to all details. This surely is a very decorative collectors piece and a great conversation item.
