Flo Smith wears a breezy straw hat and sailor striped top with white shorts, and Lily Pulitzer wears a mod Grecian vase print and coral pants, and a vibrant pink kerchief. The figures in the foreground are in crisp detail, and the lush background of palm trees and cool blue sky is in soft focus. There is a beautiful contrast between the soft-focus background foliage and its graphic, bright reflection in the pool in the middle ground.
