This is a beautiful oil on canvas painting of the view of the Ducal Palace and the entrance to the Piazza San Marco Canal in Venice by the renowned William Raymond Dommersen (1850 - 1927), signed lower right.
William Raymond Dommersen came from a famous family of Dutch artists who moved to England in the 1860’s and changed the family name from Dommershuizen.
