In the authentic and traditional sense, Goldsmithing is the art of striking, also referred to as smithing, forming and forging specifically by hand, one-of-a-kind, original articles of gold. A Goldsmith is also a Jeweler of course, but few Jewelers are also Goldsmiths because most Jewelry is not smithed and forged by hand. As original-work only Artists, we reject automation, molds, reproductions and mass-production.

GOLD (noun) A noble, rare and valuable precious metal. Smith (verb) To strike metal by hand, most frequently many times, using tools such as hammers and anvil, to alter it into a desirable shape; to smith. SMITH (noun) One who forms original articles of metal by hitting and striking metal by hand; goldsmith, blacksmith. Our obsession with ancient Jewelry led us to studying Metallurgy and Metalsmithing in NYC, and this led us to the practice and discipline of authentic traditional Goldsmithing. Goldsmithing, we later realized was artistically responsible for the era concealing timelessness in the Jewelry of our obsession. As authentic Goldsmiths we produce every piece directly in our Key West, Florida studio. We’re client driven and artistically obsessed. Our work includes Solid 20K to 24K Gold Rings, Statement-Rings, Wedding & Engagement Rings and Bands, Bracelets, Necklaces, Earrings and Pendants, all with or without Precious and Semi-Precious Gemstones.

We’ve been told, perhaps fairly, that some of our work is over the top. We certainly don’t take this as criticism, because honestly, we know it is. If we’re being honest, if you had the ability to create any jewelry you wanted to, just for fun, wouldn’t you sometimes go a little over the top too? A lot goes into a piece of jewelry, including the design, sourcing the gems, the metals, producing the pieces, assembling the pieces, and if gemstones are used, setting. Although not widely known, it’s very uncommon for a jewelry brand to directly produce every aspect of a finished work in-house.
