Barry DeBaun
Silver, Gold and Rust, original 24x30 realistic Hudson River autumn landscape

About the Item

The buck stands proud at river's edge as he surveys his domain, assessing nature's shades of blue, rust and gold staring back at him. Autumn has arrived and the running water will soon be frozen over as the reds, oranges and yellows gently blanket his turf. The stillness in the air is beginning to stir as the glistening seemingly silver river rocks bare witness. The peace of the season is lovingly presented with every visual detail by multiple award winning Hudson River realist painter Barry DeBaun. A masterful original oil painting of a classic uninhabited fall landscape scene has become increasingly rare indeed! DeBaun has been featured in multiple publications from the Hudson River area, both written and online, including having received the "Best Artist of the Hudson Valley" award by Hudson Valley Magazine and feature article in the 2021 edition of Haywain Magazine. His work has shown in the Albany Institute of History and Art, the Berkshire Museum of Fine Art, the Springfield Museum of Fine Art as well as in the Rotunda of the United States Senate. DeBaun's work is in collections nation wide.

I’ll make the decision right then and there to paint that particular subject during that particular moment. It’s a perfect moment. Once something has caught my eye and I’ve heard the “perfect” click, it’s like a photograph has been taken in my mind’s eye. I only have a few days of clarity with that image.
