    Geo III ebonized and gilt brass-mounted musical 6 tune bracket clock by Richard Parsons, London, circa 1765. The 7.5" W x 11" H arched painted metal face is signed "Rich'd Parfons, London" with Roman and Arabic numerals. The brass back plate is richly engraved and inscribed "No. 54 Goswell Street" beneath an engraved compote of fruit and surrounded by scrolling leaves. The clock chimes on the hour and on the half hour with a single chiming bell. It plays one of 6 tunes, of your choice, every 3 hours on a nest of 8 bells and 8 hammers on a pinned brass cylinder. The six dance tunes are; Cottillion, Jig, Minuet, Song, Air and Dance. The case has cast brass ormolu mounts including, a large carrying handle on the top with 4 pineapple finials as well as a conforming mount on the front of the stepped top. The front door has cast brass quarter frets on the top corners, the sides and back are glazed. It is raised on scrolling, foliate feet. The hands are blued steel, the movement with five ring-turned pillars and two wire driven fusees, and a crown escapement, with a pendulum hold-fast. Clock winding key...
