About the Item

Large and impressive 1960s Mid-Century Modern German lava glaze pottery floor vase from Scheurich pottery. Fat and appealing shape, at once masculine and strong. Designed with an orange lava band on the center on a dark cholate background, the dripping rather smooth but tactile. Marked in pottery’s bottom W. GERMANY 290-45, 290 is the model no. and 45 is the height in cm. In Very Good condition. Minor wear with no issues. Hot lava, unique German pottery of the period after the war. Exciting and very collected. Measurements: 11 inches diameter at widest x 17 3/4 inches high.
