This is a large gorgeous antique Victorian sterling silver punch bowl bearing the makers mark of the renowned silversmith Walter Barnard with hallmarks forLondon 1892 and retailed by Gibson & Co, Belfast. This exquisite punch bowl is also ideal as a champagne cooler and it has beautiful and incredibly detailed embossed half fluted decoration and is raised on a pedestal foot. It bears a fabulous heraldic crest for the Sharman-Crawford family with the latin motto "Durum Patientia Frango" which translates to "By patience I break what is hard" The SHARMAN-CRAWFORD combined Coat of Arms Born at Moira Castle, at the age of 25 on 5 December 1805, as William SHARMAN, he married at Bangor, Mabel Fridiswid CRAWFORD and had with her eleven children. They lived together at Crawford House, Crawford's Burn, Co. Down, Northern Ireland. Just before his death in 1827, William's brother-in-law Arthur Crawford in a pact with his father, agreed to break the entail on the estate in favour of his sister Mabel Fridiswid CRAWFORD, and William SHARMAN was authorised, by Royal Licence to assume the surname of CRAWFORD in addition to, and after SHARMAN, and to bear the arms of Crawford quarterly with those of Sharman, thus beginning the SHARMAN-CRAWFORD line. This is truly a special item and it will attract the maximum amount of attention, the quality and craftsmanship are undeniable. An exceptional, fine and impressive antique American sterling silver tyg presentation / champagne cup in the Art Nouveau style; an addition to our ornamental silverware collection. This exceptional antique American sterling silver tyg presentation / champagne cup has a circular waisted shaped form onto a circular shaped spreading foot. The lower portion of the shaped body of this tyg* cup is embellished with impressive embossed and chased scrolling leaf ornamentation in the Art Nouveau style, paralleling the shaped foot. The anterior surface of the body is ornamented with the contemporary engraved initials 'IWS'. The upper and lower rims of the vessel are encompassed with applied moulded borders. This impressive silver cup is fitted with three cast sterling silver C shaped handles accented with a three-dimensional ribbon tied reed decoration, with impressive organic terminals. The underside of this exceptional example of antique silver bears the contemporary engraved inscription 'Presented to Jean W Stevenson as a token to commemorate her engagement to Edward H Graves from his father Henry Graves, January 17th 1899'. This versatile cup is a substantial size and if required could be used as a wine/bottle cooler; with the use of the three handles, this piece could easily be transferred down a dining table. An exceptional, fine and impressive antique Victorian English sterling silver goblet; an addition to our collection of wine and drinks related silverware This exceptional antique Victorian sterling silver goblet has a circular bell shaped form onto a knopped stem and circular spreading foot. The body of this 1870s silver goblet is embellished with bright cut engraved foliate festoons accented with pensile leaf drops; these vertical designs form four cartouches. The cartouche to one side bears a bright cut engraved fruit design; the further three remain vacant. The knopped stem is encircled with a plain moulded border to the centre. The foot is ornamented with further bright cut engraved overlapping arch designs, accented with an applied bead decorated border to the rim. Condition This antique 1870s silver goblet is an exceptional gauge of silver, exceptional quality and in exceptional condition. The goblet has been professionally polished and is in presentation condition. The bright cut engraved decoration is very crisp and the applied ornamentation is very sharp. Full hallmarks struck to the surface of the goblet are all very clear. Antique Victorian Sterling Silver Water Pitcher/Jug

An exceptional, fine and impressive, antique Victorian sterling silver water pitcher/jug; part of our antique dining silverware collection. This exceptional sterling silver water jug has a baluster shaped form onto a circular spreading foot. The waisted cylindrical neck of this silver jug is embellished with impressive stylised leaf motifs, segmented with opposing scroll designs. The lower swept portion of the neck is encompassed with the contemporary engraved inscription 'To Charles Edward Rawlins, junior honorary secretary to the Liverpool Anti Monopoly Association anno domini MDCCCXLII to MDCCCXLVII'; these Roman numerals convert to the Latin dates 1842 and 1847. The bulbous portion of the body is embellished with exceptional engraved scene depicting a female figure draped in flowing fabric being carried by a male character; this male could be associated to Hermes, the Greek Olympian deity and the herald of the gods. The other side of this exceptional jug is further embellished with a main, central female being adorned and clothed by three semiclad figures. The body of this exceptional example of antique silverware is further ornamented with two large scrolling palmette style designs, all on a matte background. The lower portion of the jug is encompassed with an interlacing scalloped style pendant bud design. The neck is embellished to the upper portion with impressive gadroon decoration to the shaped rim. The jug is fitted with an exceptional hinged hallmarked cover, surmounted with an impressive cast leaf decorated thumbpiece, accented with further scrolling decoration to the domed portion. This antique silver jug is fitted with an impressive elevated loop style handle ornamented with an exceptional cast and applied figural mark design to the lower terminal. This exceptional jug was crafted by the renowned London silversmiths Edward, John & William Barnard. Condition This antique English silver water jug is an exceptional gauge of silver, exceptional quality and in exceptional condition. The cast and applied decoration is very sharp and the engraved decoration is very crisp. Full English hallmarks struck to the neck of the jug are all very clear.
