Large Mid-Century French Allegory Oil on Canvas Painting in Carved Frame

About the Item

Painted in France circa 1960, and set in a carved silvered and black frame, the important mythological painting on canvas depicts an allegoric outdoor scene featuring a Roman or Greek goddess holding grapes with cherubs on her side holding wheat and flowers. The large painting is in excellent condition with rich and vivid colors (7 feet tall). A wonderful size art work for a large entry, staircase, or living room. Measures: 63.5"W x 82"H.
