Turquoise Scarab Winged Phoenix Bird Ring Egyptian Revival Antique 14 Karat Gold
About the Item
A museum quality antique Egyptian Revival Scarab Phoenix masterpiece. The ring has a central Scarab carved in Turquoise of great beauty. The Scarab is set in a 14 Karat Gold beaded collet. On either side of the Scarab are stunning renditions of a winged Phoenix bird. The head of the Phoenix rises above the band of the ring and the wings extend onto the band. The gold is a beautiful warm yellow 14 Karat Gold. It is very rare to find Turquoise scarabs in the early antique jewels, and the combination with the winged Phoenix is extraordinary.
For centuries, Ancient Egypt has held the fascination of the public and continues to inspire artists and designers alike. With the discoveries of Egyptian tombs, and the treasures within, in the 19th and early 20th centuries, the exotically opulent lives of the Pharaohs were beyond anyone’s imagination.
