Typically, Prada’s signature is artistic yet refined. However, for the Spring 2011 collection, Miuccia Prada took on a minimal approach that allowed her to play with loud colors and bold stripes eliciting youthful and fresh looks. Of course, no outfit is complete without the proper accessories! This Prada hat is made from cotton canvas with alternating strips of orange and black forming an almost hypnotic ring pattern across the hat. In addition to the bold color, the hat features a large, dramatic brim and a soft crown. From the interior two grosgrain ribbon straps extend that can be tied as a chinstrap or to wear the hat on the back. Despite its contemporary patterning, this hat offers a romantic, old-fashioned charm that would add a stylish layer to a classic daywear outfit. It can be seen in the featured images as look #31 from that season’s runway.
