1970s Bob Mackie Pastel & Beaded Silk Gown

Buyer Protection Guaranteed

A phenomenal gown by Bob Mackie who is best known for dressing Cher and for his love of opulence and bead work! He worked for both Edith Head and Jean Louis and I think he secretly always designed for the big screen and the bygone glamor of Hollywood. His work always is over the top and extravagant. This is an amazing silk chiffon gown in delicious shades of pastel silks layered over each other through the skirt and gathered by hand and tacked into soft pleats through the bust. Soft pink, creams, mints and palest lavender all work together beautifully. It would no be a Bob Mackie with some glitz and the neckline fgive that full on!Beads, rhinestones and sequins are heavily applied to highlight each shoulder and go down and across the bust. Each shoulder also has epithets of danging strings of beads and pearls! The bodice and shoulders are very structured and molded. It feels like couture on!. Extremely well made and in excellent condition

Fully lined in pale lavender silk chiffon that is completely hand set, with a built in molded bra, boned corset and shoulders. There is also an inner waist stay. It closes with a back painted zipper. Hand finished throughout. Three full payers of silk chiffon through the skirt
