A rare John Galliano bias cut Carnation dress from the Dolores collection, Autumn-Winter 1995-96. Of Bianchini Férier ivory and black satin backed rayon acetate crêpe inset with intarsia'd black chiffon and satin embroidered in white silk running stitch embroidered carnation flower heads and unfurling leaf designs. Gently cowled neckline and back. Due to the complex design and construction very few of these dresses were put into production, and sold. There are no traditional seams on sides and the fit of the dress is integrated into the inserted black floral patterns onto the bias cut base.
