15th Century Antique Burma 'Myanmar' Burmese Green & White Pottery Ceramic Bowl

About the Item

A beautiful and somewhat rare Burmese (Burma/Myanmar) 15th-century hand-painted and decorated green and white earthenware bowl. The piece is decorated with a bird in the center and has a stylized motif of green lotus petals painted against a white/cream-glazed exterior. This piece was acquired directly from the Pacific Asia Museum in Pasadena, California where it was part of their impressive collection at one time (accession number: 1993.12.2AB). Would be a great addition to any South East Asian pottery/ceramic or artifacts collection or an eye-catching stand-alone accent piece in about any setting. Approximate dimensions: 2.8" high, 5.75" diameter.
