Antique Korean Ceramic White Bowl Joseon Dynasty

About the Item

A Korean ceramic bowl covered in a white glaze with a hint of bluish green circa 18th-19th century, later Joseon Dynasty. The deep bowl features a classic form, simple but elegant with everted rim and cylindrical foot ring. The glaze was evenly applied and shows some aged crackles. There are four kiln spurs left to the interior and kiln sand grits to the foot ring. For a similar white bowl, see illustration 51 of "Five Centuries of Korean Ceramics" by Goro Akaboshi and Heiichiro Nakamaru.
