Huge 17th century Japanese Arita Imari Charger

About the Item

As part of our Japanese works of art collection we are delighted to offer this outstanding condition Edo Period 1612-1868, circa 17oo , very large Imari palette dish or charger, manufactured at the Arita kilns in the late 17th early 18th century during the Genroku period 1688-1704 , the vibrant Imari decoration consists of a central Ikebana display upon a terrace, the outer border interspersed with trailing flora, a fine example of Japanese export wares destined for the wealthy European households of the period. Condition report : Fine condition throughout .
