About the Item
Exceptional museum-quality contemporary Japanese signed porcelain decorative vase in an elegant beautifully shaped square, with a unique interpretation of zebras in a stunning green. Depicted here are zebras looking earthward, with humanlike eyes that convey an eerie sense of self-awareness. This highly acclaimed aard-winning master artist starts each work with the eyes that leads him to the whole design. He has drawn on various animals in his work. His profile is avaiable upon request.
This elegant piece showcases the artist's signature zebras set against a striking background depicting diamonds in two shades of blue.
Having started his career in the venerable tradition of old Kutani porcelain, this artist faithfully draws on at least one of the prime Kutani colors of yellow, green, red, blue and purple (purple/brown) in each of his work.
This extraordinary hand-painted porcelain vase comes in a custom-made wooden case signed by the artist.
