About the Item

This large Japanese Kutani charger, measuring 18 " in diameter, was created during the late 19th-century Meiji period. Its decoration features intricate hand-painted designs depicting children playing in the snow, a charming waterside scene, and a beautiful bird-and-flower motif set against a striking red background. On the reverse side, three robust dragons circle the foot, adding a touch of mythical charm to the piece.
