About

Presenting a superb pair of Japanese Satsuma vases. They are crafted with high quality workmanship and unsurpassed gilding. The decorations are extremely detailed and the panels are artistically painted with scholars in a garden setting surrounded by floral motives. Some of the gilt is raised and gives the decor a relief appearance. There is an impressed mark on the bottom of each vase. The vases are in excellent condition with minor signs of age related wear on the gilding of the rim. The beauty of these vases is captivating. Measures: 10 1/2" H x 7" D Weight: 2 lbs. each.
