19th Century Japanese Bronze Vase With Gilt Decoration, Meiji Period
About the Item
19th century Meiji Period diminutive bronze vase with lovely etched and applied decoration. A raised gilt bird is shown flying above etched bamboo on one side, gilt applied lilies with patinated leaves on the other. A very successful and quite charming design. The background a beautiful burnished deep brown.
This is the piece you will look at every day and just smile at its consummate elegance.
