A Great Japanese bronze vase depicting a hawk, signed by Masayuki 正之

About the Item

Large bronze vase with greenish-reddish patina worked in relief depicting a hawk, head turned to the right, on a large branch that wraps around the vase at an angle from the bottom to the upper neck. Lobate rim from which some grooves start and continue all along the neck. Eye of the golden hawk. Signed Masayuki 正之 with engraving under the base. Origin: Japan Period: Meiji late 19th cent. Dimensions: 53 x 25 x 25 cm. – 7.2 kg. State of preservation: Very good
