Japanese Fine Antique Stunning Gold Leaf Screen

From our recent Japanese Acquisition Travels Fashioned by hand in stunning gold leaf . Japan, a fine six-panel screen byobu carefully crafted by a professional artisan with hand applied gold leaf. This attractive screen dates to the Meiji period, circa 1900. The rich black lacquer frame and bronze mounts perfectly compliment this handsome and artistic work of art. Photographed in natural day light. We are pleased to have found this one on our last Japanese acquisitions travels. Dimensions: 68 inches high and 148 inches wide extended. The original silk brocade border is present. Black lacquered wood with engraved bronze corner mounts nicely frame this serene and rare equine composition.
