Kitagawa Utamaro Japanese Woodblock Print Naniwa Okita Admiring Herself

About the Item

A beautifully composed and subtly colored Japanese woodblock print featuring a well-dressed woman gazing admiringly at herself in her vanity mirror. This work is by Kitagawa Utamaro and is titled "Naniwa Okita Admiring Herself in a Mirror" and is from his Bijin-ga (Beautiful Women) series. The print has a beautiful Mica background which helps to illuminate its subject. This is likely a later printing of the original work done in the 18th century. From an impressive collection of Japanese artworks and prints (of which we will be listing other prints). Would be a great addition to any Japanese art or print collection or an eye-catching stand-alone accent piece once framed. Mat dimensions: 17.75" high, 12.5" wide Print: 15.75" x 10.5"
