Old Japanese Scholar's Stone/Tortoise Shell Type Stone/AppreciationStone/suiseki
About the Item
This is a stone mined in Japan.
Not only in China but also in Japan from ancient times, rocks in the mountains have been shaved and stones for viewing have been quarried.
Such stones for appreciation are collectively called "suiseki".
Suiseki means "water" and "stone".
The name comes from the fact that I enjoyed pouring water on the stones and changing the color of the stones.
And this item is also Suiseki, but it is for viewing without splashing water.
This is a stone called "turtle shell stone".
It got its name because its surface resembles a turtle shell.
It is produced all over Japan, but famous places such as Saitama Prefecture, Gunma Prefecture, and Nagano Prefecture are produced.
It is a marl formed by hardening calcareous deposits containing clay as an impurity. Masses of marl formed on the seabed appear on the surface of the earth due to geological changes, and when they dry up, they form cracks like tortoise shells.
It is believed that the tortoiseshell stone was born in this way.
This stone is very cool because the unevenness is particularly clear.
This stone has a mysterious atmosphere as if it contains the power of the earth.
360 degrees is cool no matter where you look.
This item also comes with a certificate of authenticity from the Stone Museum in Nagano Prefecture.
This stone is guaranteed authentic.
Recommended item!
Also, I want many people to know the goodness of antiques, so I set the price reasonably.
