About the Item

Here's one of the only hand-carved antique granite stone tigers we have had the pleasure of owning- a superb garden treasure from Korea. This is a finely crafted hand-carved effigy of a seated Tiger. Quality: Good condition with finely carved mane ,ears, facial features, and curly tail and other details all in all in very nice condition. Substantial dimensions: 13.5 inches high and 15 inches long and 7 inches deep Provenance: collected in Korea in the 1950s. These rare stone images were originally found in temples and private palaces there and are no longer available. In addition, tiger stone effigies are rarely found in any eastern culture so this is an unusual opportunity. Hand-carved. Fine details. Only one.
