Chinese Carved Mottled Stone Birds and Flowers Sculpture on Rosewood Base

Intricately hand carved from a single block of richly variegated green and white stone, this incredibly detailed Chinese sculpture of two birds on a branch above flowering, leafy roses is a work of art. The mottled green and white stone enhance the sculpture, a true mark of a lapidary artists' skill. Sculpture is so meticulously crafted, the birds have feathers and the rose branches have thorns! Sculpture fits into a custom made, hand carved rosewood base.
Sculpture on base measures approximately 10” high x 8.5” wide x 3.5” deep. Weighs approximately 4.5 pounds.
