Japan Big Eared Antique Rabbit Hand-Carved Stone Usagi, Meiji, 19th Century



From our recent Japanese Acquisition Travels Here's one of the finer hand-carved antique, 19th century granite stone rabbits we have had the pleasure of owning- a superb garden treasure from Japan. This is a finely crafted hand-carved big eared effigy of a seated rabbit usagi. This was sourced from a large Japanese garden collection this past year. Quality: Finest smoothly carved ears, paws, cute nose and tail, and other details; attractive dark original patina- just the way we love to find them. Substantial dimensions: 10.5 inches tall and 7 inches wide Hand carved, smooth to the touch with original dark handling patina.
