Carved from a single block of wood, Shōki is depicted standing on a rock, looking down, intent on surprising a hidden oni.
Engraved signature under the base and complete with the original tomobako.
Period: Meiji late 19th early 20th century.
Dimensions: 30.5 x 22 x 15 cm.
