A Japanese wooden figurine of a Buddhist monk. In the form of a seated Buddhist monk. He holds a scroll in his left hand, and a mala/juzu (rosary) in his right hand. Part of the mala has broken off. Simply a great wooden figurine! Date: Late 19th or Early 20th Century Overall Condition: It is in overall fair, as-pictured, used estate condition. Condition Details: The prayer beads in his right hand have broken off. Otherwise, there are some fine & light surface scratches and other signs of expected light wear consistent with age. Marks: Unmarked Measurements: Height: ca. 4 1/4 in. Width: ca. 3 3/8 in. Depth: ca. 3 in. Items purchased from this dealer must delight you.
