1905 Dark Oak Paneled Dining Room

Condition: Very good Material: Oak Finish: Original Country of origin: USA, circa 1905 Dimensions: Overall approximately 15’7” wide x 25’ 8 5/8” long For additional dimensions please refer to the diagram within the picture gallery This gorgeous paneled wood dining room features several eye-catching details- a leaded glass door unit, two built in corner cabinets, large window opening, a built-in sideboard, and three different doorways. The doorway closest to the corner cabinets features a swinging door that led to a butler’s pantry. The largest door opening features double pocket doors which originally led to the living room. The last doorway is an oversized pocket door that led to the main hallway and entrance of the home. This paneled room was originally part of a home that was built in 1905. The house was on the market for $1,195,000 on November 15, 2019, but sadly there was a fire on November 23 that started in the attic. This fire caused smoke and water damage that made its way down to the lower levels. The house was relisted in January at the price of $399,000. With the description stating: “Much admired brick 3-story has been FIRE & WATER DAMAGED & home is being sold AS-IS. Electrical fire started on 3rd floor. The property sustained fire damage to roof, & throughout the 3rd floor, & south side of 2nd and 1st floors.” The house ended up selling for $462,000 on January 22nd. Because of the damage, in order to renovate the entire house had to gutted down to the studs. The new homeowner decided the best option would be to contact us to take out the most important pieces of the house to save them for reuse in a new home. It took three employees three days to carefully salvage these two rooms (dining room and study) from the home. Each piece of trim and paneling is removed, individually labeled, and neatly packed up to go back to our store. Once the items come back to the store, we sort through the pieces and rebuild the rooms piece by piece just as they were originally installed in the home.
