About the Item

Pair of small double door handles in solid glass hand blown Sommerso Murano glass with centre in chocolate brown and outer ring in clear glass fitted to a chrome sleeve attributed to Seguso, 1960's. Sommerso is an Italian glass technique used in producing the handles to create several thick layers of glass in separate colors. In these handles the edge is transparent and the centre is brown, giving the illusion of floating colors that lay on top of each other without mixing. Hence this gives the door handle a strong three dimensional and sculptural depth to this functional object. They will have a great impact on any kind of double doors inside or outside. They can be used on furniture as well as on entry doors. Combined they make fabulous features as door knobs (large) and even coat hook (small). They are connected by an adjustable standard bolt. Various single and double pairs of this model and colour are available in four sizes.
