About the Item

More information coming soon… Dating to circa 1900, this French wall plaque depicts a heraldic display on top of a highly scrolled and pierced wrought iron backing. The coat of arms is divided into three fields, depicting a family crest. The shield surmounts a roughly oval frame filled with multiple C-scrolls, all painted green. A spear-like lozenge tops the plaque, rising through the center of a scrolled arabesque crest.
