About the Item
This Spanish inspired hand wrought iron bifold gate is divided into multiple sections: two main folding gate panels, two narrow side panels, and a central post where the two gate panels meet and latch. The iron is all banded together, rather than electric welded, which indicates the age to likely be late 19th or early 20th century. The main design element is a repeating pattern of quatrefoils interconnected with curved lines. Two gate sections also feature a circular opening in the center top. The gate is equipped with hinges that allow the bifold action with one hinge is missing. There's a latch mechanism in the center for securing the gate closed. There are some decorative elements missing and some bending. Please refer to the pictures for a full view of the condition. Sold as a set.
