About the Item
This large, antique fire back was created in France, circa 1760. The square plaque features a before French Revolution scene where King Louis XVI is being arrested at Versailles with Marie Antoinette holding on to him. The fire-back is in excellent condition with wonderful detail work, and would also make a wonderful back splash behind a kitchen stove!
