About the Item
Decorate your fireplace or kitchen back splash with this elegant antique fire back from France, circa 1870. The ornate fireplace essential with a date of 1722 at the top, features a typical French family "blason" (French for coat of arms), with a top crown embellished by fleur-de-lis, a center crest with three hunting horns, and two branches of foliage and acorns wrapping up the crest. The large plaque is in excellent condition with a rich patinated black finish. Weight - 106 pounds
