19th century French Neoclassical Period fireback with two pillars of freedom and a decoration. The pillars symbolize the value liberty, one of the three values of the French revolution. Also the name of the person who commissioned the production of the fireback can be seen as well as the year of production, 1804
The fireback is made of cast iron and has a natural brown patina. Upon request it can be made black / pewter at no extra cost. It is in a good condition and does not have cracks.
