English 19th Century Brass & Metal Fire Screen
About the Item
A wonderful painted English fireplace screen or guard, made circa 1890. The perforated design is intended to allow all to enjoy the sight and warmth of a wood burning fire from a safe distance. This fireguard has its original black paint over the mesh walls, a subtle scalloped drape at the top, and a polished brass trim ornamenting the top rail which will sparkle by a roaring fire.
