Antique Louis XVI Style Limestone Fire Mantel

About the Item

Antique Louis XVI Style limestone fireplace dating back to circa 1900. The cream shade with warm tones works well with the smooth surface and curved inner edges, giving off a classic French look. This natural stone originates from France and is called Estaillades limestone; it is quarried near the town of Oppède, located on the North face of the mountain Luberon. This fireplace presents a honey coloured tone, which is almost white in the sun. This simple and strong, yet elegant fireplace is classical of Louis XVI design. This piece would fit well in a main room of a countryside home and modern property alike. Additional dimensions: Opening Height: 93cm Opening Width: 97 cm Visible depth once installed: 38 cm
